I figure that every Beakman fan must automatically sort of hate Bill Nye, and yeah google image search told me that beakmanVSnye shtick's been done. the joke pretty much doesn't go beyond that, so nothing worth linking. I bet it's been a Family Guy joke. Klosterman should write an essay on this. I wonder if he google alerted his name. and all the misspelled versions, oh and how often he is searched. modern times.

well I don't hate Bill Nye per se- I just begrudge his fame over Beakman's
he had an 'in' with the school system... hence the fame. disney?

Beakman was far superior. my fave is when he built a giant nostril and went in it.
the only good thing Bill Nye had was the "did you know that" and the "now you know" sayings.
I also liked the House of Pain style 'Bill! Bill! Bill! Bill!' chanting in the opening credits, but it hardly compares to a sewer rat for an assistant.
